Planning for Park Avenue’s Future

Margaret Proctor

Meet Margaret Proctor

Margaret Proctor was born in Kansas and was a resident of Park Avenue for her entire adult life. Over the years, she took great pleasure in watching the seasons unfold on the avenue beneath her window.

When she made her will, after providing for her family, she left her residuary estate for the beautification of this special avenue which had been her home for many years.

About The Park Avenue Society

Mrs. Albert D. Lasker, one of the country’s foremost advocates of urban beautification, believed that her fellow citizens should share the responsibility for beautifying their city. Her early support of Park Avenue led to the creation of The Fund for Park Avenue.   By remembering The Fund for Park Avenue in their wills, members of The Park Avenue Society will help ensure that Park Avenue will be beautifully planted and maintained for future generations to enjoy.
